The MiniWorks EX microfilter water filter weighs 2.9 oz and can filtrate up to 530 gallons of dirty water before it needs cleaning! It allows for a flow rate of 1 liter per minute at a 0.2-micron absolute pore size. A micron is a unit of measure for the diameter of particles. Pore size, or the absolute pore length of your filter element is an important measurement that can be used to determine if any suspended solids are getting past it into your water.
The MiniWorks EX microfilter water filter comes with a MiniWorks EX pump, MiniWorks filter cartridge with ceramic/carbon core, prefilter sponge to prevent small particles from clogging your MiniWorks filter cartridge.
The microfilter water filter is a pump-style microfilter. The MiniWorks itself is a very basic filter with no fancy features or adjustments. If you need to rely on it for life support, make sure you have another backup option. Because the MiniWorks does not have the ability to backflush. Since it can be maintained in the field, the MiniWorks is a good long-term solution to your water filtering needs. It does take a little more effort than other filters to keep clean. But it is worth it to have this small filter available.
